SURPRISE!!!

Let's pretend today is Monday October 14th, 2013,  hello unbelievable nauseous-ness! Thinking to myself I caught I sick bug from my travels the prior weekend...

Everything changed in only a few days after waking up and going to bed nauseous and suddenly being grossed out by the smell of chicken, red meat, and fish not being able to tolerate the thought of anything green or healthy... my first thought was "am I burnt out from healthy foods?"  The thought of being pregnant never crossed my mind... hard to admit but it is the absolute truth...

Yep.. I am one of those people who didn't realize that I was pregnant until I was nearly 6 weeks along and up until this point I had ABSOLUTELY no symptoms.. no missed period, no sickness, and no unusual fatigue. I was working out regularly and going about my everyday activities.

Friday October 18th, 2013 after wrapping my head around my symptoms and literally just the idea of everything... I decided to  schedule an initial consultation & confirmation appointment (October 29th,2013) where my AWESOME doctor got me in the next day (October 30th,2013) for a ultrasound so that my husband and I could see the heartbeat and have pictures to share with our family when we share our exciting news!

Here's our first photo of Baby Smith

Baby Smith at 8 weeks

Although we were SURPRISED by Baby Smith, my husband and I are beyond excited for our new addition to our family and the next chapter of our lives.

We both firmly believe that everything happens for a reason and all in gods timing :)
